Nice, new hotel — improvements could be made
Clean, new hotel. Great location. Generally the staff members were quite helpful and professional.
For a hotel at this price point, I guess I was expecting a different level of service/slightly better facilities. The room size was OK but we were missing storage space for our clothes & luggage (drawers, more hangers,...) — the bathroom door slides in front of the open closet and made what little storage we were given quite impractical. A small thing, but was one of the only hotels we stayed at in Japan that didn't provide fabric deodorizing spray (which is extremely helpful, if you go out to bars or for yakitori, etc...) Most of the staff was very professional but there could be some improvements. At breakfast we were asked to sign for meal before we were done eating, which made us feel rushed ; then the same staff member literally ran after us to have us sign a second time when we left. It was very confusing and made us uncomfortable. One evening we sat out on the terrace for 20 minutes, waiting to order a drink. Staff walked back and forth but seemed to be avoiding us, no one came to check on us.
